Computer forensics is the process of capturing and analyzing digital data from many sources. The technology usually captures and analyzes data from computer mass storage devices like hard disks. The Samurai is all-in-one interface hard drive testing, wiping, duplication, analysis and forensic acquisition equipment. Interface support includes SAS, Fibre Channel, SCSI and SATA/ATA. Built on a native SAS platform with 3 ports (1:2 duplication), the Samurai is lightweight and compact enough to be carried to any location. The base unit is shipped with SAS/SATA/ATA configuration, and customers can opt for SCSI and Fibre Channel modules separately. With potential duplication speeds of 18 GB/minute, cross-interface copying and bad sector handling, the Samurai is in a league of its own compared to PC or software-based duplicators.
Atola units come complete with one year free SMS. While the Atola units continue to work without purchasing the Software Maintenance Service (SMS) license, the SMS is an investment that will help extract the most value from your Atola products. Atola invests a tremendous amount of time and resources to constantly develop new features, expand current capabilities, and extend the supported drives for the full line of Atola devices.
